Discerning Customer’s Mood
You can always offer extra products to the customer to make extra sale from them, but you must note that there are also some good and some bad times to up sell. You must discern the mood of your customers before doing this. You must practice the ability to know your customer’s mood. Are they on the rush? Do they have bad mood? Are they in good vibe? If you know what they feel, you can always formulate the right approach. If they are on the rush, do not hold on the orders just to offer the extra product. You can just actually continue with processing the order while upselling. Through this, you won’t waster their time.
